Description

  • Partner with the Territory Business Leader to develop territory plans and strategies that meet or exceed goals.
  • Execute clinical selling strategies within assigned accounts.
  • Assess patient referrals to confirm product use criteria are met.
  • Provide product education and training for people with diabetes and healthcare providers.
  • Drive healthcare provider adoption and confidence through clinical demonstrations and communication of product benefits.
  • Certify healthcare providers to conduct product training for people with diabetes.
  • Facilitate virtual trainings and educational webinars.
  • Communicate user feedback cross-functionally to improve product development and solve problems.
  • Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize the user experience.
  • Manage leads, opportunities, and training documentation in the customer relations database.
  • Maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups and professional diabetes organizations.
  • For senior roles, mentor junior staff, assist with field sales training, participate in advisory boards, and lead team calls as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid professional license in one or more of the following: RN, RD, PA, NP, or Pharmacist.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education, with strong experience using diabetes technology preferred.
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) is preferred.
  • For the Senior Clinical Diabetes Specialist role, CDCES certification is required.
  • For the Senior Clinical Diabetes Specialist role, 4+ years of clinical diabetes education experience is required.
  • Experience coordinating and conducting diabetes device education in the medical device industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of high performance in previous roles.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to answer questions from patients and healthcare providers in real time.
  • Strong data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of diabetes products and therapies.
  • Must live within the assigned geography.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to carry and transport professional samples and literature.
  • Ability to commute extensively by car, including possible overnight travel.
  • For senior roles, demonstrated top-tier performance, leadership or mentoring experience, conference representation, career progression, strategic problem solving, and success in sales or sales partnership are preferred.
