Description

  • Design and build scalable, resilient telemetry-platform components using Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos/Mimir/Cortex, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Own small-to-medium features from requirements refinement and technical design through production rollout.
  • Partner with platform users to understand needs, refine requirements, and identify underspecified work.
  • Operate observability services across Kubernetes environments on AWS and GCP.
  • Maintain reliability and cost efficiency by right-sizing cloud resources and tuning telemetry volume.
  • Automate operational tasks to reduce toil and on-call pager load.
  • Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible while following production security, compliance, and change-management procedures.
  • Participate in on-call support, troubleshoot production incidents, improve runbooks and dashboards, lead postmortems, and complete corrective actions.
  • Review peer code and designs, and mentor teammates through documentation, demos, and internal talks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related systems-focused field.
  • Hands-on production experience operating Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos or Mimir/Cortex, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Production Kubernetes experience, including EKS or GKE, Helm, and Kustomize.
  • Experience with AWS or GCP.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience maintaining reliability for large-scale SaaS or distributed systems, including on-call and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and rolling, blue-green, or canary deployment strategies.
  • Proficiency in Go or another mainstream programming language such as Python.
  • Experience with on-premises, hybrid, or air-gapped Kubernetes deployments (preferred).
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, progressive delivery tools such as Argo CD, Argo Rollouts, or Flagger, or telemetry-cost optimization through cardinality management or retention tuning (preferred).

  • Salary starting at EUR 4,000 per month, with final base pay based on skills and experience.
