Description

  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including design, implementation, quality polish, and release.
  • Take ownership of full feature implementation from architecture brainstorming through back-end delivery to customers.
  • Optimize endpoints that interact with billions of database rows by profiling Ruby code and tuning ClickHouse queries.
  • Build and improve robust back-end systems for challenging products such as SDK Insights.
  • Perform code reviews and suggest improvements to tools and engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with a remote engineering team to share knowledge and improve outcomes.
  • Help support efficient access to large-scale data and deliver convenient tools for data consumption.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, with less experience considered if supported by meaningful GitHub contributions and coding samples.
  • Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful systems and good API design principles.
  • Understanding of cloud environments, with some exposure to AWS preferred.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, or Python with willingness to learn Ruby on Rails.
  • Nice to have: experience with ClickHouse, MongoDB, Sidekiq, TypeScript, or React.js.
  • Ability to work in a remote, distributed team environment.
