Description

  • Build secure-by-default protections across cloud, CI/CD, applications, and endpoints by creating guardrails and reusable paved roads.
  • Provide practical security guidance for new products and technologies and recommend secure-by-default patterns.
  • Help secure SeatGeek’s use of AI, including LLM-assisted development and AI-powered product features, by building guardrails and reviewing risks.
  • Contribute to design reviews and threat modeling for high-impact features and services to identify and mitigate risks early.
  • Build security tooling that prevents issues at build and deploy time and automates detection and response in production.
  • Improve detection and incident response capabilities by tuning detections, raising signal quality, and implementing automated responders.
  • Partner with engineering and business teams on endpoint trust, identity and email protections, security awareness, vendor reviews, risk assessments, and compliance support.
  • Protect SeatGeek from abuse and bots at the edge and application layers through layered defenses and tuning.
  • Participate in security incidents and tabletops, write incident reviews, and help improve runbooks, processes, and communications.
  • Advocate for secure coding practices and help foster a positive security culture across teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of broad, hands-on experience across multiple security domains.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of driving security projects end-to-end from design through rollout and adoption.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or C#.
  • Ability to write production-quality code and perform rigorous security and correctness reviews.
  • Experience partnering across product, platform, and business functions to deliver cross-team security outcomes.
  • Ability to build scalable preventative security solutions across cloud, applications, CI/CD, identity, and endpoints.
  • Ability to think like both an attacker and a defender to improve prevention, detection, and response.
  • Familiarity with AI and LLM security risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and insecure model or agent integrations is a plus.
  • Experience with tools and technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, GitLab, Datadog, CrowdStrike, Hex, Looker, Redshift, SQL, and Terraform is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with PCI or SOX compliance work is a plus.
