Description

  • Design, build, and support shared platform systems and tooling for engineers across SeatGeek.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to address performance, scalability, and reliability needs as the business grows.
  • Improve system reliability, observability, security, and scalability through automation and thoughtful abstractions.
  • Support production operations, including releases, on-call rotation, incident response, and support requests.
  • Collaborate across teams to identify friction and improve how software is built and operated.
  • Evolve internal platforms, APIs, standards, and shared tooling to improve reliability and developer experience.
  • Evaluate new technologies and patterns with attention to short-term needs and long-term maintainability.
  • Use automation and AI-assisted workflows to improve development and operational efficiency.
  • Share context and learnings through documentation and design discussions.

Requirements

  • Experience contributing to the design, development, or operation of shared systems, platforms, or infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with building, running, or improving production systems.
  • Interest in reliability, security, scalability, and safe deployment and operations practices.
  • Thoughtful code quality standards focused on clarity, maintainability, and usability.
  • Interest in developer experience and platform usability.
  • Comfort collaborating across teams and disciplines and communicating clearly.
  • Ability to turn broad needs into practical technical solutions with support from others.
  • Commitment to learning and growth through knowledge sharing, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Python, Go, HCL, or YAML is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, Datadog, GitLab, Kafka, Flink, Redshift, Fastly, Kong, or Cilium is helpful but not required.
