Description

  • Design, build, and support shared platform systems and tooling used by teams across SeatGeek.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to address performance, scalability, and reliability needs.
  • Improve system reliability, observability, security, and scalability through automation and abstractions.
  • Participate in operating production systems, including release support, on-call rotation, and incident response.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines to reduce friction in how software is built and operated.
  • Help evolve internal platforms, APIs, standards, and shared tooling to improve reliability and developer experience.
  • Evaluate new technologies and patterns with attention to maintainability and operational health.
  • Use automation and AI-assisted workflows to improve development and operational efficiency.
  • Share context and learnings through documentation and design discussions.

Requirements

  • Experience contributing to the design, development, or operation of shared systems, platforms, or infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with building, running, or improving production systems.
  • Interest in reliability, security, scalability, and safe deployment and operation practices.
  • Strong attention to code clarity and maintainability.
  • Interest in developer experience and platform usability.
  • Comfort collaborating across teams and disciplines and communicating clearly.
  • Ability to turn broad needs into practical technical solutions with support from others.
  • Commitment to learning and growth through knowledge sharing, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Python, Go, HCL, or YAML is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, Datadog, GitLab, Fastly, Kong, Cilium, Kafka, Flink, or Redshift is helpful but not required.
