Description

Build and own core services that ingest PSP settlement and transactional data at scale and translate it into general ledger and billing systems.
Design and deliver infrastructure that converts bespoke monetization deal terms into durable, auditable configurations.
Rapidly build and iterate tools that improve the quality and speed of interactions with finance data, using AI-first approaches.
Partner with product engineering teams to shape how transactional and settlement data is modeled and exposed at the source.
Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Data Scientists, Analysts, Data Platform Engineers, and Product to improve data quality and best practices.
Maintain accuracy, completeness, and operational excellence across the platform in a SOX-controlled environment.
Create clear definitions and documentation for data sources and systems to establish ownership.
Help define architecture, ways of working, and roadmap as the team scales.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production backend systems.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
Experience handling and processing transactional or financial data at scale, ideally in a SOX-controlled environment.
Experience designing reliable, auditable, long-lasting services and data models.
Familiarity with streaming production data and data warehouse environments.
Ability to work without a playbook and define architecture, processes, and roadmap as you go.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of finance and accounting principles is a bonus.
Experience with payments infrastructure, marketplace payout platforms, or finance systems vendors is a bonus.
Experience with tools such as AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Gitlab, Aurora/Postgres, Redshift, dbt, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, Temporal, Workato, NetSuite, Claude Code, Codex, or LLMs is listed for transparency, but not required.
