Description

  • Develop data pipelines and use SQL- and Python-based ETL frameworks to acquire, process, and deliver data to consumers.
  • Partner with data scientists, analysts, data platform engineers, and software engineers to understand data use cases and product requirements.
  • Architect, build, and thoroughly QA performant data models in the data warehouse.
  • Own the analytics data layer, including extracting data from production databases and third-party sources.
  • Orchestrate jobs in Airflow to produce clean, well-documented, analysis-friendly datasets.
  • Assist in triaging and debugging on-call requests on a rotational schedule.
  • Design LLM-friendly data warehouse schemas, create domain guides, and enforce canonical naming conventions for AI-assisted analysis.
  • Partner with analytics leadership on BI tooling strategy to improve stakeholder access to usable data.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Analytics, Data, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience with dbt, Databricks, or a similar SQL transformation tool is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, psychology, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Python.
  • Experience developing new metrics and performing analysis with large datasets.
  • Experience cleaning datasets, developing new models, and working with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear frameworks and guides.
  • Experience with Airflow, Fivetran, Kafka, Redshift, mParticle, Looker, Hex, Mixpanel, or GitLab is beneficial.
