Description

  • Drive the technical roadmap for fullstack gaming initiatives with scalable, high-performance architecture.
  • Own live-ops operations, including incident management, reliability improvements, and service maintenance.
  • Design and deliver features by bridging backend Python/Django systems with Unity client requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Analytics to unblock technical work and facilitate design discussions.
  • Contribute hands-on to feature development across client and server codebases while maintaining code quality.
  • Identify and reduce technical debt and operational bottlenecks to improve team velocity.
  • Mentor teammates and act as a technical multiplier across cross-functional teams.
  • Lead technical planning and execution for player-facing and live-service features.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience in gaming or large-scale live-service applications.
  • Deep expertise in backend engineering with Python and Django.
  • Strong hands-on Unity development experience with C# in production environments.
  • Proven experience designing scalable systems and managing live-service operations.
  • Familiarity with AWS and modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and containerization.
  • Experience with data-driven content pipelines, performance optimization, and serialization workflows such as FlatBuffers or JSON.
  • Experience building and supporting player-facing features such as progression, social, live events, or monetization.
  • Strong understanding of how backend services and Unity clients interact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.

  • Base salary range of $130,100 to $198,000 USD for candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA.
