Description

  • Design high-impact thumbnails, icons, and key art for Roblox experiences that increase click-through and player acquisition.
  • Use Roblox Studio, Blender, Maya, and 2D tools to pose characters, compose scenes, light models, and polish final images.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Creative Directors, Game Designers, and Marketing teams to align visuals with each project’s goals and tone.
  • Develop creative strategies to improve CTR, conversions, QPTR, and acquisition performance across releases.
  • Create multiple thumbnail variations, run A/B tests, and iterate based on performance data and player behavior insights.
  • Stay current on Roblox creative trends, platform behavior, top-performing genres, and competitor thumbnails.
  • Serve as a go-to creative resource for thumbnail best practices and high-performing asset strategies.
  • Ensure thumbnails and icons match each game’s brand identity, worldbuilding, visual language, and narrative tone.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in digital art, 2D and 3D design, or thumbnail creation for gaming, entertainment, or marketing.
  • A strong portfolio showing eye-catching thumbnails, composition, lighting, and storytelling through static imagery.
  • Proficiency with Blender or Maya for rendering and Photoshop or similar tools for compositing and final output.
  • Familiarity with Roblox Studio, UGC aesthetics, and platform visual trends.
  • Understanding of how thumbnails affect click-through rates and player engagement.
  • Strong grasp of composition, lighting, posing, visual hierarchy, and color theory.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with art, creative, and marketing teams and manage feedback cycles.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience with simple motion graphics or animated thumbnails is preferred.
  • Understanding of user acquisition strategies and visual trends on Roblox, Fortnite Creative, or other UGC gaming platforms is preferred.
  • Experience designing key art, social assets, or promotional graphics beyond thumbnails is preferred.
