Description

  • Design polished digital product experiences across desktop and mobile.
  • Translate user journeys, requirements, and creative direction into flows, interfaces, and prototypes.
  • Create, evolve, and document component-based design systems, patterns, specifications, and reusable assets.
  • Apply design systems across templates and surfaces while identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Balance user needs, brand expression, technical feasibility, accessibility, and delivery constraints with cross-functional teams.
  • Present work and clearly communicate design decisions in internal and client reviews.
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to maintain design quality through implementation.
  • For Design Director engagements, guide workstream direction, mentor designers, and build confidence with senior client partners.

Requirements

  • Significant experience designing digital products, services, or complex responsive web experiences.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft, UX thinking, systems thinking, and personal contributions to complex projects.
  • Deep Figma expertise, including components, variables, libraries, prototyping, and documentation.
  • Experience building or scaling practical design systems.
  • Ability to translate strategy, information architecture, or creative direction into interconnected experiences.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive, usable design across devices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a scoped workstream, and communicate proactively.
  • Clear, constructive collaboration with designers, strategists, technologists, producers, and clients.
  • Senior Designers should independently own complex design work; Design Directors should also provide hands-on creative leadership and team and client guidance.

Benefits

  • Expected contract pay range of $61–$120 per hour, adjusted based on location, experience, and skillset.
  • Three regional pay ranges with cost-of-living adjustments: US1 +15%, US2 +7.5%, and US3 base.
  • Benefits may be available under applicable law and company policy, depending on hours worked and assignment duration.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with Instrument teams and leading brands on product, brand, and marketing engagements.
