Description

Plan test phases and design test concepts for core banking software.
Design and execute manual tests to validate product behavior and quality.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and SAP GUI testing.
Select suitable automation frameworks and tools based on product requirements.
Ensure automation code is clean, maintainable, and reusable.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
Analyze requirements and identify automation opportunities across the test pyramid.
Provide clear, actionable defect reports.
Support teams in integrating automated tests early and continuously into the software development lifecycle.
Help teams adopt modern testing and DevOps practices.

Requirements

Around 3-6 years of experience in test automation.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with the Playwright automation framework.
Experience with SAP GUI testing and SAP GUI test automation.
Strong understanding of API testing and tools such as Bruno.
Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools.
Basic understanding of DevOps concepts and containerization, including Docker.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including ISTQB, the test pyramid, and test design techniques.
Ability to define automation strategies aligned with business priorities.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication skills.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
German verbal and written skills are a nice to have.
Professional experience in software testing, quality engineering, or software development.
Experience with test automation in agile product development environments.
Experience in Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
ISTQB certification or similar credentials are beneficial.
