Description

  • Plan test phases and design test concepts for core banking software.
  • Design and execute manual tests to validate product behavior and quality.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and SAP GUI testing.
  • Select suitable automation frameworks and tools based on product requirements.
  • Ensure automation code is clean, maintainable, and reusable.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze requirements and identify automation opportunities across the test pyramid.
  • Provide clear, actionable defect reports.
  • Support teams in integrating automated tests early and continuously into the software development lifecycle.
  • Help teams adopt modern testing and DevOps practices.

Requirements

  • Around 3-6 years of experience in test automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with the Playwright automation framework.
  • Experience with SAP GUI testing and SAP GUI test automation.
  • Strong understanding of API testing and tools such as Bruno.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps concepts and containerization, including Docker.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including ISTQB, the test pyramid, and test design techniques.
  • Ability to define automation strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • German verbal and written skills are a nice to have.
  • Professional experience in software testing, quality engineering, or software development.
  • Experience with test automation in agile product development environments.
  • Experience in Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • ISTQB certification or similar credentials are beneficial.
