Description

  • Administer sales variable payments, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs, for assigned sales teams.
  • Apply commission plans consistently and ensure calculations comply with company policies.
  • Manage commission exceptions, inquiries, adjustments, and corrections in a timely manner.
  • Maintain sales compensation plan document templates and distribute them accurately and on time.
  • Validate accrual and payment results for assigned segments and explain commission fluctuations.
  • Document and maintain business processes for monthly and quarterly close, commission accounting tasks, and audits.
  • Support participant setup for new hires, terminations, and in-year or year-over-year changes.
  • Complete audit controls and support SOX compliance for commission-related processes.
  • Perform user acceptance testing for new or modified sales incentive system configurations.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements that scale sales compensation operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Compensation role.
  • Experience at a high-growth technology company or a company with 500+ employees is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with automated sales commission systems such as Xactly, SAP, Anaplan, or Oracle EIM.
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, business acumen, and awareness of business trends.
  • High degree of motivation, responsibility, and flexibility.
