Description

  • Build customer-facing self-serve products using custom frontends, cloud applications, backend services, and scripts.
  • Collaborate with product, design, marketing, sales operations, finance, and other go-to-market teams on growth initiatives.
  • Use data and analytics to understand customers and the funnel, identify opportunities, and execute projects that improve revenue, growth, retention, and engagement.
  • Drive engineering discussions and produce thoughtful documentation and unit tests.
  • Work across the full stack from architecture and deployment through testing and iteration.
  • Turn data-driven insights into experiments and scalable platforms that support the customer journey and go-to-market lifecycle.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in full-stack or growth-focused environments.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end development.
  • Proficiency in Python, including Flask or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, ideally Vue.js or comparable front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure platforms for deployment and scalability.
  • Strong understanding of web architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, test, and deploy production-quality systems end to end.
  • Experience using data and analytics to identify opportunities, measure impact, and iterate on solutions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Excellent debugging, technical communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen and curiosity about growth strategy, customer journeys, and go-to-market metrics (preferred).
  • Adaptable, experiment-driven mindset with experience learning from testing and iteration in fast-paced environments (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, Amplify, Lambda, CloudFront, Kinesis, and EventBridge (preferred).
  • Experience developing Google Chrome Extensions (preferred).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Turborepo, Terraform, and Playwright, or similar tools (preferred).
  • Experience with Salesforce, Contentful, Hightouch, or similar products (preferred).

Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $112,752.50 to $189,500 USD.
  • Eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff.
