Description

  • Build foundational capabilities that let AI agents securely discover data, use tools, integrate with external systems, and execute reliable workflows at enterprise scale.
  • Design full-stack systems with a strong emphasis on backend and distributed systems.
  • Develop high-throughput, highly available, observable, secure, and maintainable services.
  • Use AI engineering tools such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor across design, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review.
  • Improve frameworks, tooling, and engineering practices across Samsara.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally.
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Strong professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
  • Enterprise experience in one or more relevant areas such as developer platforms, integration frameworks, event-driven systems, data platforms, or analytical reporting infrastructure.
  • Experience operating production software at enterprise scale or high transaction and data volumes.
  • Strong backend engineering skills, including API design, distributed systems, data modeling, reliability, and observability.
  • Experience delivering full-stack functionality and collaborating across frontend and backend boundaries.
  • Expert practical knowledge of AI coding assistants such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
  • Ability to make sound engineering trade-offs and communicate technical decisions clearly.
  • Experience designing and operating public-facing REST or GraphQL APIs (preferred).
  • Experience with high-throughput event-streaming platforms (preferred).
  • Experience building extensible integration or application frameworks, or distributed data-fetching/query/reporting systems (preferred).
  • Remote position open to candidates residing in Poland.
