Description

  • Become an expert on Samsara products and explain how they support digital transformation for physical operations.
  • Articulate to prospects how businesses in their industry use Samsara to solve common operational challenges.
  • Lead discovery sessions, product demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Guide installers through installation scenarios and help build deployment plans using best practices.
  • Write and document scripts using Samsara's open API to solve customer problems and support fellow sales engineers.
  • Act as a consultant to customers to expand account penetration through integrations, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.
  • Champion Samsara's values and operating principles as the company scales globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited 4-year university.
  • 2+ years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support role.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and an understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation, and control systems.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or advanced education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience in task automation scripting and transferring data between systems using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or an equivalent language preferred.
  • Experience building solutions leveraging open APIs preferred.
  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications preferred.
  • Hobbyist interest in electronics-driven projects such as car audio installation, classic car restoration, home automation, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino preferred.
  • Consistent track record of success selling complex technical solutions through strategic sales cycles preferred.
  • Must be physically located in the United States, within the Northeast region, and in the Eastern Time Zone.
  • Must live within 2 hours of an airport.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations 25% of the time.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
