Description

  • Monitor customer installation milestones and resolve issues, installation challenges, and project complexities in collaboration with the implementation team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and troubleshooting during installation phases.
  • Track installation CSAT and address root causes of customer dissatisfaction.
  • Help partners create project-specific installation guides and deliver onsite training to installer technicians.
  • Coordinate with installation vendors to ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and to Samsara’s quality standards.
  • Provide onsite oversight for large or complex deployments, including readiness checks, access coordination, troubleshooting, and quality checks.
  • Perform first-of-kind installations on complex customer projects as the hands-on technical expert.
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep work on track.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive process improvements with installation partners.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Implementation, and Product teams to share feedback and improve the installation experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable.
  • 4+ years of experience managing vehicle and/or hardware technology.
  • Prior vehicle installation or up-fitter experience preferred, such as installing emergency lighting, two-way mobile radios, GPS equipment, antennas, or other electrical equipment.
  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including Controller Area Networks (CAN bus) and Power Take Off (PTO) applications for on-road and off-road vehicles and yellow iron equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience in field operations coordination, implementation, and technical deployment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-70%, including weekends and overnight stays.
  • Ability to develop professional customer-facing documentation and communicate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments (preferred).
  • Strong bias for standardization and automation, with the ability to think big and maintain high standards (preferred).
  • Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem-solving skills (preferred).
  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with AI tools to drive operational efficiency (preferred).
