Description

  • Engineer IT solutions using AWS native services and custom-developed code for a large-scale application re-engineering effort.
  • Review legacy application code to assess reusability, customization needs, and possible microservices approaches.
  • Develop front-end and full-stack features using React, Next.js, TypeScript, AWS CloudFormation, AWS SDK, NestJS, and Prisma ORM.
  • Design, create, and maintain custom APIs.
  • Use GitLab for source control management and deployment through a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Participate in internal code reviews to ensure best practices and coding standards are followed.
  • Work with AWS cloud services to support modernized application functionality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Experience in software re-engineering efforts is required.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS-based solutions is required.
  • Proficiency with AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, S3, ECS, API Gateway, and Cognito is required.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and the Next.js framework is required.
  • Specialization in front-end development and building user interfaces is required.
  • Microservices experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines is required.
  • Experience with code vulnerability mitigation and remediation is required.
  • AA/AS degree and 3 years of related experience, or HS diploma and 5 years of related experience, is preferred.
  • Agile software development experience is highly desired.
  • PostgreSQL database experience is desired; Oracle and/or SQL Server experience may be considered.
  • DoD application experience, including DISA STIGs, is a plus.
  • Experience with GitLab, C#, Visual Studio Code, JavaScript, React, Material UI, and/or Amazon QuickSight is desired.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance; active Secret clearance is desired and interim Secret clearance is acceptable to start.
  • US citizenship and the ability to meet clearance requirements are necessary.
