Description

  • Research, design, and develop IT systems and applications.
  • Recommend system and software improvements and enhance existing capabilities.
  • Provide product exploration, technology planning, and solution formulation for specifications, performance requirements, and implementation.
  • Support Agile and DevOps implementation activities for NAVAIR software projects.
  • Collaborate with self-organizing and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain software code and databases within an application area.
  • Follow software coding standards to support quality and cyber security compliance.
  • Use development tools to update tasks and stories, check in code, and manage version control.
  • Support daily stand-up meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience with a BS or BA in a technical discipline, or 7 years with an AS or AA degree, or 9 years with a high school diploma.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management and configuration management tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Microsoft Azure DevOps, GIT, Jira, or Jama.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with automated unit, integration, and systems testing.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with REST API technology is preferred.
  • Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Blazor, Python, Java, Bootstrap, XML, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, or React is preferred.
  • Experience supporting SQL Server, Oracle, or Hadoop is preferred.
  • Experience with MVP or MVC frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience deploying applications within NAVAIR hosting environments is preferred.
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification is preferred.
  • Active Secret clearance required; US citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
