Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable Snowflake data pipelines and platform infrastructure.
  • Architect end-to-end data flows from source ingestion through silver and gold layers.
  • Own platform reliability, performance tuning, observability, failure recovery, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Establish version control, CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, and other engineering standards.
  • Design and operate Apache Airflow or equivalent orchestration workflows with dependency management and SLAs.
  • Build governed, tested, documented, and version-controlled gold-layer models and metrics using dbt.
  • Define metrics as reusable, centralized sources of truth and move transformation logic upstream into the warehouse.
  • Partner with analytics and BI stakeholders on data engineering and consumption-layer requirements.
  • Structure data models to support governance, consistency, AI agents, and autonomous analytical systems.
  • Use AI-assisted coding tools and help establish team practices for AI-native data infrastructure development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building pipelines, data models, and platform infrastructure.
  • Production experience with Snowflake, including architecture, performance optimization, and cost management.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or an equivalent DAG orchestration platform such as Prefect, Dagster, or Mage.
  • Production experience using dbt for transformation modeling, testing, and documentation; equivalent semantic-layer experience may qualify.
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing, optimizing, and reviewing complex queries across large datasets.
  • Experience designing and building data platforms or systems from scratch.
  • Experience owning platform development and maintenance over the long term.
  • Experience using coding agents, AI tooling, and independently managed development environments.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with preferred experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefits, cloud infrastructure, governance, streaming pipelines, semantic layers, or client-facing data products.
