Description

  • Lead effective delivery of sprint and quarterly goals for the product team.
  • Create clarity around sprint, team, and career goals.
  • Resolve most team-level problems and proactively communicate issues with proposed solutions.
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks and roadblocks that slow the team down.
  • Lead resolution of production incidents for services owned by the team.
  • Monitor adherence to engineering best practices and defined processes.
  • Facilitate delivery-process improvements by gathering feedback and driving follow-up on changes.
  • Support product owners with feature specs, scoping, and breaking down large deliverables into smaller pieces.
  • Promote technical debt reduction and technical roadmap execution.
  • Manage direct reports through coaching, performance feedback, development, engagement, morale, and reviews.
  • Lead recruiting efforts and make headcount recommendations for the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a software delivery environment in a senior development or managerial role.
  • Demonstrated experience applying software engineering practices and the software development life cycle to deliver features.
  • Demonstrated experience using Jira and Confluence to manage software delivery successfully.
  • Ability to participate in and contribute to high-level technical discussions.
  • Proven experience diagnosing and resolving complex problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • History of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Experience reviewing business requirements and translating them into delivery plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience mentoring and coaching team members to improve performance.
  • Comfort working with team members who have different skill sets.
  • Ability to travel occasionally domestically and internationally.
