Description

  • Build, hire, mentor, and lead the India-based AI engineering team.
  • Own platform engineering workstreams, including control plane features, skills framework, web applications, versioning, and diagnostics tooling.
  • Lead development of MCP connectors and integration layers for enterprise systems.
  • Own the global rollout and administration of AI tools such as Glean, Claude Code, and Cowork.
  • Establish and run global L1/L2 support operations for AI tools and platforms.
  • Coordinate priorities, architecture decisions, and delivery timelines with US-based leadership.
  • Support and improve existing AI products including Coby, Rubreak, and SmartInsights.
  • Define development standards, code review practices, CI/CD processes, and operational runbooks.
  • Partner with senior leadership, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders on execution and alignment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years in an engineering management role leading teams of 5+ engineers.
  • Strong background in backend or platform engineering, including distributed systems and API development.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures on GCP and/or AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems in production, including LLM integrations, agent frameworks, or ML platform development.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Go.
  • Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain engineering talent in India.
  • Experience leading cross-site teams working with US-based counterparts.
  • Experience building support operations, including L1/L2 processes, SLAs, escalation paths, and runbooks.
  • Preferred: experience with MCP servers, AI agent ecosystems, or developer platform teams.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools.
  • Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Preferred: experience scaling an engineering team from a small group to a larger multi-function organization.
  • Preferred: experience administering enterprise developer tools, including licenses, access controls, usage analytics, and vendor relationships.
  • Preferred: background in cybersecurity or data management enterprise software.
