Description

  • Lead the technical implementation of generative AI and LLM workflows for localization operations.
  • Build infrastructure for high-velocity translation, including LLM connectors and automated content routing based on risk.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end zero-touch workflows that replace manual localization processes.
  • Manage and optimize the Translation Management System (Smartling) and its surrounding tool ecosystem.
  • Make configuration decisions to ensure localization tools are aligned with business goals and best available features.
  • Partner with the Localization Quality Program Manager to operationalize quality strategies and maintain linguistic standards.
  • Work with the Localization Operations Program Manager to turn technical architectures into practical day-to-day processes.
  • Define technical requirements for integrations between the TMS and tools such as Zendesk, GitHub, and Figma.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure integrations are robust and that business requirements are clearly owned and communicated.
  • Remove administrative friction and manual steps so the operations team can focus on delivery speed and stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Localization Program Management, with a focus on localization operations, technology, and/or AI implementation.
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, machine translation, or AI-driven quality estimation into localization workflows.
  • Strong understanding of the benefits and risks of AI in localization.
  • Proven ability to deconstruct complex manual tasks and rebuild them as automated, scalable processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of the localization technology landscape, including TMSs, connectors, and MT engines.
  • Experience configuring Smartling or similar tools to solve operational problems.
  • Ability to identify obsolescence risks and drive transformations to avoid technical debt.
  • Comfort speaking the language of engineers and defining technical requirements.
  • Understanding of API capabilities, file parsing, and system architecture.
  • Preferred experience in a dual-sided marketplace or high-growth tech environment, plus Smartling, Jira, and GitHub experience.
  • Practical experience with prompt engineering or fine-tuning LLMs is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish, German, French, or Italian is a plus.
