Description

  • Build and ship features across the stack, including Next.js dashboards, FastAPI endpoints, and the Cloud SQL data layer.
  • Work with Amazon SP-API and Advertising API integrations, including report requests, polling, token refresh, rate-limit handling, and response mapping.
  • Maintain and extend the reporting pipeline, including scheduled report generation, batch processing, and long-running job state handling.
  • Optimize data-heavy frontend views with virtualization, pagination, code-splitting, render performance, and React Query cache tuning.
  • Tune the serving platform for performance and cost, including Cloud Run cold starts, concurrency, minimum instances, hosting, and CDN behavior.
  • Optimize SQL read paths across BigQuery and PostgreSQL and help evolve the schema during workload migration.
  • Measure performance using Core Web Vitals, API latency, and Cloud Run metrics, then act on actual bottlenecks.
  • Write clean, well-tested code with unit tests for service logic and integration tests for endpoints.
  • Collaborate on operational systems that support fast-scaling marketplace operations for established brands.

Requirements

  • Strong React and Next.js experience with real performance work, including rendering, bundle size, data fetching, and caching.
  • Solid backend experience in Python, ideally with FastAPI or similar frameworks, including API profiling, optimization, and async code.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs, including authentication, pagination, polling, rate limits, and unreliable responses.
  • Strong SQL competence for building and optimizing read paths; BigQuery experience is a strong plus.
  • Comfort working on a serverless cloud platform and reasoning about latency and cost.
  • Measure-first approach with experience profiling, instrumenting, and proving improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, and GitHub.
  • Hands-on experience with a cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) or marketplace data is preferred.
  • Familiarity with web app hosting and observability tooling is preferred.
  • Experience optimizing cloud cost without sacrificing performance is preferred.
  • Ability to optimize an existing codebase and build configurable, maintainable systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and fluent written English for SOPs, process docs, and methodology notes.
  • Availability for a contract role with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a day shift from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PH time.
  • Experience with Google Cloud, Cloud Run, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Scheduler, Docker, Firebase Auth/Hosting, or Alembic migrations is relevant.
