Description

  • Own end-to-end data quality workflows across clinical, eligibility, and claims datasets.
  • Clean, standardize, reconcile, and validate spreadsheet- and file-based data from payers, employers, TPAs, and EHR systems.
  • Perform eligibility matching, roster maintenance, variance tracking, and discrepancy resolution across employer and partner populations.
  • Validate eligibility and claims data against source systems, document root causes, and maintain clear audit trails for issues and resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate employer, plan, and member mappings with consistent naming conventions and relationship logic across systems.
  • Build scalable checks, templates, SOPs, and controls to make recurring work consistent, auditable, and easier to operate.
  • Intake, clarify, and translate data requests from Operations, Clinical, Finance, and partners into structured deliverables and timelines.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and findings to non-technical stakeholders and serve as a trusted cross-functional data resource.
  • Partner with engineering and operations to support source-system and warehouse integrations, including reliability, monitoring, and lifecycle support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data consistency, operational rigor, and process automation as the company scales.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a healthcare data role such as payer, provider, TPA, benefits administration, or healthtech.
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-growing HealthTech organization is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivots, text parsing, data validation, and deduping.
  • Experience with eligibility and claims data is required.
  • Intermediate SQL and Python skills.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling.
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy with large, messy datasets and tight timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to partner cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and pivot as needed.
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR extracts, such as Athena, benefits platforms or TPA portals, and clinical data is preferred.
  • Experience with simple BI tools such as Looker Studio or Tableau is preferred.
