Description

  • Support overall program operations across the California Small Business Equity portfolio.
  • Ensure accurate client invoicing, subcontractor accruals, administrative reporting, and program data analysis.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Identify, track, and monitor goal progress and manage leads from multiple outreach channels in program databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely project data uploads.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from customers and client representatives.
  • Engage with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to understand needs and support program success.
  • Lead assigned projects by clarifying objectives, asking thoughtful questions, and delivering solutions within established timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be located in California.
  • Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs, preferably in California.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and program database systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability and passion for environmental impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in energy efficiency program operations, business analysis, or utility program delivery (preferred).
  • Experience working directly with California investor-owned utilities (preferred).
  • Familiarity with program tracking systems such as Salesforce, CRM platforms, or similar databases (preferred).
  • Experience managing invoicing processes, forecasting, accruals, and financial reporting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of California energy efficiency policies, regulatory frameworks, and market engagement strategies (preferred).
  • Experience supporting Small Business or equity-focused programs (preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting dashboards (preferred).
