Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and services.
  • Build backend services and RESTful APIs using Django and/or Flask.
  • Develop and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using PySpark.
  • Build scalable ETL and data ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Implement data science algorithms and machine learning models in production environments.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize, validate, deploy, and monitor ML solutions.
  • Perform data wrangling, cleansing, transformation, and analytics on large datasets.
  • Design and optimize data access patterns across relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests and contribute to CI/CD practices.
  • Partner with product, architecture, engineering, and offshore teams across multiple time zones.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional Python development experience.
  • Expert-level Python programming skills with strong object-oriented programming knowledge.
  • Strong experience building scalable and maintainable applications with Django and/or Flask.
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark, distributed data processing, and large-scale ETL pipelines.
  • Experience working with high-volume datasets and enterprise-scale data processing solutions.
  • Experience implementing and operationalizing data science algorithms and machine learning workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with scikit-learn and model integration/deployment.
  • Experience using Pandas, NumPy, PyArrow, and other Python data processing libraries.
  • Strong experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, plus SQL development skills.
  • Experience with NoSQL platforms such as Cassandra and HBase, or similar distributed data stores.
  • Experience collaborating across global, distributed teams.
  • Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, source control, and software engineering best practices.
  • Engagement length of 12+ months.
  • Availability to work PST hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Must follow the client holidays calendar (USA holidays mandatory).
