Description

  • Develop backend modules through feature implementation, integrations, code refactoring, and bug fixing.
  • Contribute to software architecture and distributed systems decisions to reduce technical debt.
  • Write maintainable, clean code with automated test coverage.
  • Solve complex technical problems with a focus on simplicity and maintainability.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand business and product needs.
  • Continuously learn about the payments industry and related domain requirements.
  • Collaborate with a small, cross-functional engineering team in an agile Scrum environment.
  • Support and maintain related services such as payment processing, client administration, customer portals, storefronts, APIs, reports, and data tools.

Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge of PHP and the Symfony framework.
  • Professional production experience with DDD, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.
  • Working experience with Docker, AWS, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Cursor or Kiro.
  • Excellent English communication skills, with daily interaction in English.
  • Previous experience in financial services is highly desirable.
  • Ability to overlap with CET for at least 6 hours and generally be available between 10:00 and 18:00 CET.
  • Self-directed, independent, and comfortable working remotely.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined in a remote work environment.
