Description

  • Oversee global direct tax compliance, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other direct tax filings across company entities.
  • Partner with external tax advisors to support filings, documentation, and reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local tax authorities while mitigating risk and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Identify, monitor, and address potential tax risks and propose actionable solutions.
  • Assist in managing tax audits and inspections, including liaison with tax authorities to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide strategic tax guidance on cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, and tax-efficient planning.
  • Monitor changes in global tax laws and proactively adapt processes and strategies.
  • Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals and support day-to-day execution.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless tax compliance and reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in international direct taxation across multiple jurisdictions, preferably in a consultancy or multinational corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of global corporate tax rules, cross-border compliance, tax treaties, and EU Directives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder communication skills across regions and functions.
  • Startup or fintech experience is a plus.
  • Prior remote work experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Post-Graduate or Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency are required.
