Description

  • Own the monthly close process across entities and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and oversee the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Ensure compliance with Ecuadorian accounting, tax, and labor regulations, as well as U.S. GAAP.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors in the U.S. and Ecuador.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support growth and business decisions.
  • Provide analysis on profitability, cost structure, margin optimization, cash flow, and capital allocation.
  • Support leadership on strategic initiatives such as pricing, expansion, and efficiency improvements.
  • Design and implement cost control frameworks, financial discipline processes, and stronger internal controls.
  • Improve financial processes and reporting through automation and AI, and support cross-border structure optimization and tax efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4 to 6+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of Ecuadorian accounting and tax regulations.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience managing multi-entity or international financial operations.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, modeling, and analysis (FP&A).
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect financial data to decisions.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, or an equivalent advanced degree, is a plus.
  • Experience with company valuations, DCF, comparables, or transaction support is a plus.
  • Background in software or tech services companies is a plus.
  • Experience supporting executive teams or founders directly is a plus.
  • Exposure to M&A, fundraising, or financial structuring is a plus.
