Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points for both external and internal users.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement payroll solutions that improve the customer experience.
  • Lead efforts across engineering, design, and operations to launch high-impact projects.
  • Shape and deliver product improvements within a focused area of the payroll platform.
  • Help advance key KPIs tied to team goals.
  • Collaborate with partner teams, including operations, to align the roadmap with stakeholder needs.
  • Communicate internally and externally with transparency and asynchronous workflows.
  • Use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and workflow efficiency.
  • Work with internal experts across operations, compliance, sales, and product marketing to build a scalable payroll platform.

Requirements

  • Experience as a senior product manager in a multi-product, high-growth scale-up company.
  • Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code is required.
  • Ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code or prototypes, not just write specs.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and HR functions.
  • Hands-on experience building payroll software and systems is preferred.
  • Experience launching products or features that leveraged AI.
  • Strong strategic and tactical judgment on prioritization and feature scope.
  • Experience setting and tracking goals in a data-driven product management role.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across operations, business, sales, finance, and other departments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work quickly and collaboratively.
