Description

  • Manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision.
  • Advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, and redundancy processes while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Lead client and employee meetings for workforce reductions, administrative hearings, negotiations, and termination outcomes.
  • Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex termination cases involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate offboarding compliance and audits with internal and external stakeholders including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions.
  • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supporting documents while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records.
  • Process offboarding in Remote's internal HRIS and coordinate with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.
  • Provide first-level employee relations support, including preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and guidance on disciplinary approaches.
  • Track ongoing employee relations cases and ensure timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and customer and employee experience enhancements within the lifecycle team.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR exposure across the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits with legal compliance and care.
  • Experience providing HR advice on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and analyze complex HR issues in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Business-level written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote international team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Demonstrated automation and AI fluency, with an aptitude for process optimization.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law are a plus.
