Description

  • Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and contribute to cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
  • Participate in product discussions by providing technical feedback, proposing solutions, and suggesting product improvements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the team’s product and engineering domain.
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.
  • Contribute to the shared codebase and help debug technical and business issues.
  • Take part in support rotations, hiring processes, and RFC discussions.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers.
  • Investigate and implement improvements to the platform.
  • Implement interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind.
  • Design, build, and operationalize agentic workflows end-to-end, including specification, planning, execution, and verification.
  • Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives that can be applied across domains.
  • Use tests, checks, evals, and guardrails to ensure results are correct, secure, reliable, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic or automation workflows and improving them through iteration.
  • Ability to think in systems, including defining clear specs, breaking down plans, instrumenting verification, and closing the quality loop.
  • Experience with Postgres or a similar database.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Experience with functional programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, or Haskell is preferred.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS is preferred.
  • Experience with Next.js is preferred.
  • Experience with React, Vue, or Angular is preferred.
  • Ability to submit an application and CV in English.
  • Ability to upload a CV in PDF format or provide a LinkedIn profile instead.
