Description

  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with country-specific regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Own end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, including payroll input validation, calculations, and post-payroll processing.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on country payroll requirements and monitor legislative, tax, and regulatory changes affecting payroll operations.
  • Support the rollout of payroll services in new or expanding jurisdictions and integrate execution processes into operational workflows.
  • Coordinate payroll matters across internal teams and external stakeholders, including payroll partners where applicable.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, operational risks, and compliance issues, escalating complex matters when needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by streamlining payroll workflows and improving operational transparency.
  • Develop and maintain payroll documentation and operational knowledge to keep processes clear, scalable, and aligned with governance requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements, statutory updates, and operational improvements affecting payroll.
  • Support testing of payroll system developments, enhancements, and process changes to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Mid-senior level experience in Polish payroll operations with hands-on end-to-end payroll processing in Poland.
  • Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments or global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders across payroll ecosystems.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong in problem-solving for complex payroll scenarios.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for asynchronous and globally distributed environments.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to raise risks early and act with curiosity and accountability.
  • Comfort working in scrappy, fast-moving startup environments.
  • Proficiency in payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
