Description

  • Lead end-to-end Italy payroll implementations from discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, data migration, testing, and go-live.
  • Conduct structured due diligence on customer payroll setups, including CCNL rules, allowances, accruals, TFR, funds, and tax or social security impacts.
  • Manage data migration and validation, including mapping, consistency checks, and loading historical or progressive values when required.
  • Plan and execute testing cycles, including parallel runs, and reconcile results against agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact during implementation and communicate complex topics clearly and pragmatically.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve templates, tooling, documentation, automation, and implementation processes at scale.
  • Support sales handover, client handover, and client kick-off calls.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, decisions, and SOPs for Payroll Operations.
  • Provide ongoing support during and after implementation to resolve issues and ensure a smooth transition to Payroll Operations.
  • Mentor and support Implementation Specialists and contribute to UAT and product improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Proven, hands-on experience implementing Zucchetti Paghe Infinity, including configuration, data imports or migrations, setup validation, and go-live support.
  • 2+ years of Italy payroll experience, ideally in a consultancy, payroll bureau, outsourcer, or in-house payroll function with implementation or subsidiary transition exposure.
  • Strong understanding of payroll foundations such as progressivi, CU logic, Uniemens structure, and year-to-date handling.
  • Experience with mid-year transitions, parallel payroll, and complex onboarding scenarios.
  • Strong working knowledge of high-volume CCNLs such as Commerce and Metalmeccanico.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and timelines in a remote environment.
  • Clear, structured communication skills with the ability to translate complexity into actionable steps for customers and internal teams.
  • Experience in tech or high-growth environments and comfort collaborating with Product and Engineering.
  • Professional fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Deep knowledge of local payroll tools and software such as SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets, plus experience in accounting or reconciliations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset for improving efficiency.
  • Ability to work largely asynchronously; remote work experience is a plus.
  • Expert legislative knowledge in the relevant country is required.
