Description

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Time & Attendance matters and support complex projects and employment law change implementation.
  • Manage employee lifecycle leave and working hours cases, including family leave, sick leave, time tracking, public holidays, and working time matters.
  • Advise clients and employees on employment legislation, employment agreements, and labor law interpretations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as payroll, legal counsel, and government bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Support HR and financial audits and help manage critical initiatives affecting employees across multiple countries.
  • Develop, update, and maintain global internal documentation related to Time & Attendance and legislative changes.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries on employment matters in collaboration with Lifecycle stakeholders.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements, automation, product development, and better customer and employee experiences.
  • Safely manage employee data and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Promote Remote’s values and contribute to the goals of the Lifecycle team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing employee lifecycle events with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.
  • Experience providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead difficult conversations professionally and confidentially to positive outcomes.
  • Advanced business-level written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience optimizing processes and identifying opportunities for automation and best practices.
  • Strong operational efficiency, with attention to documentation and data integrity.
  • Tech-savvy and able to collaborate asynchronously using evolving tools and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international, remote environment with multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Familiarity with Notion, Slack, Zendesk, and G Suite for communication, documentation, and project management.
  • Enthusiasm for AI with a foundational understanding of its practical applications in operations and automation.
  • Preferred: experience managing long-term sick leave or extended absence cases end-to-end, including eligibility, documentation, pay, benefits impacts, and stakeholder coordination.
