Description

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the specified country or region.
  • Attend sales calls as the Country Payroll Lead.
  • Participate in sales hand-over, client hand-over, and client kick-off calls.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of global payroll implementation projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Guide implementations from inception through parallel runs and the first month of live payroll before handing over to Payroll Operations.
  • Maintain records of implementation decisions and ensure Payroll Operations has full visibility, including required standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, customers, and other stakeholders during implementation.
  • Develop and implement standardized payroll processes, project plans, and procedures to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing support during and after implementation to resolve issues and challenges.
  • Support the wider implementation team and Payroll Operations team.
  • Focus on KPIs and SLAs and work to improve processes.
  • Mentor, support, and lead Payroll Generalists working alongside you.
  • Work with internal teams to improve the platform, including UAT testing through to shipping, and document all changes.

Requirements

  • Extensive payroll experience in a client payroll environment.
  • Expert legislative knowledge in the relevant country.
  • Payroll implementation experience.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining payroll processes and issues to customers and stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of local payroll tools and software such as SAP, Excel, or Google Sheets.
  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment.
  • Experience in accounting and reconciliations.
  • A productivity-focused approach with a drive to improve and speed up work.
  • Ability to work largely asynchronously.
  • Fluent English written and spoken.
  • Remote work experience is a plus.
  • Experience with automation and AI is expected as part of Remote’s role requirements.
