Description

  • Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers across backend and frontend work.
  • Spend about 30% of time on management responsibilities and remain actively involved in product development.
  • Participate in hiring for the team and support hiring efforts for peer teams when needed.
  • Own onboarding for new engineers joining the team.
  • Manage team dynamics as the team spokesperson and help each member do their best work.
  • Provide continuous, constructive feedback, guidance, and coaching to direct reports.
  • Support the growth and career development of each direct report.
  • Redesign how engineering work ships using autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
  • Define and operationalize agentic workflows end to end, from specification through verification.
  • Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives and use verification loops to ensure quality, security, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
  • Extensive experience with frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, ES6, and Jest, or backend technologies such as Elixir and Phoenix.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic or automation workflows, or comparable systems, and improving them through iteration.
  • Ability to think in systems, define clear specs, break down plans, instrument verification, and close the loop on quality.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices.
  • Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire others and instill confidence.
