Description

  • Design and implement distributed systems that support AI agents handling thousands of requests per hour with strong reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Establish testing strategies, observability systems, and CI/CD pipelines to improve software quality and prevent customer-facing issues.
  • Mentor and lead a team of engineers while promoting strong engineering practices and production readiness.
  • Own the technical roadmap for the AI platform and make architectural decisions that guide long-term system evolution.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers to productionize cutting-edge AI capabilities while maintaining system stability.
  • Reduce incidents and improve operational processes by setting standards for how software is built and run.
  • Enable other engineers to ship faster and safer by building robust platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
  • Demonstrated success improving system reliability, including moving services from frequent outages to 99.9%+ uptime.
  • Deep expertise in modern engineering practices, including microservices, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Strong coding skills with the ability to work across the stack.
  • Experience debugging production issues and implementing comprehensive observability.
  • Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between ideal solutions and shipped solutions.
  • Experience with LLM applications, agent frameworks, or AI/ML infrastructure is preferred.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and vector databases is preferred.
  • Background at high-growth companies or in modern engineering cultures is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-model AI systems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google models is preferred.
