Description

  • Own the complete payroll function and the planning and implementation of the Payroll chapter.
  • Ensure payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with country-specific government regulations.
  • Manage, mentor, and provide guidance to the Payroll team, removing blockers and supporting their work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal and external stakeholders on all payroll-related matters.
  • Manage relationships with payroll, accounting, and third-party payroll service providers.
  • Stay up to date with international payroll laws, regulations, and country-specific compliance requirements.
  • Develop and implement payroll best practices, key performance indicators (KPIs), and SLA metrics for the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives to automate and speed up payroll processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to align payroll operations with corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in regional or global payroll operations.
  • Experience implementing payroll in multiple countries and managing third-party payroll services.
  • Understanding of global payroll best practices and international payroll laws/regulations.
  • Proficiency with payroll and productivity tools such as SAP and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Demonstrated automation and AI capabilities applied to payroll processes.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for people management with a non-micromanaging leadership style.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment and work largely asynchronously.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Remote work experience is a plus; applications from EMEA are prioritized.
