Description

  • Design and deliver serverless TypeScript services on AWS Lambda using MySQL and Prisma.
  • Build and maintain React applications integrated with internal APIs, Shopify, and Klaviyo.
  • Own features end-to-end, from problem definition and architecture through implementation, deployment, and production monitoring.
  • Operate and maintain live production systems through an escalation schedule supporting Customer Success.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making across Relo and Relay Commerce.
  • Use coding agents, build MCPs, and develop AI features that expose the platform to LLMs such as Shopify Sidekick.
  • Contribute to high-quality software delivery across subscription and billing systems.
  • Improve engineering processes, guidelines, documentation, reliability, observability, security, and performance.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of senior-level JavaScript experience across multiple companies and frameworks.
  • Significant full-stack JavaScript and TypeScript experience, with ownership of features from idea to delivery.
  • Extensive experience designing REST APIs, particularly integrations with third-party platforms.
  • Strong TypeScript expertise including class-oriented design, strong typing, SOLID principles, OOP patterns, and test-driven development.
  • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including query performance, indexing, and schema design in MySQL or another RDBMS.
  • Proficiency with React, including component development, interactive interfaces, state management, and backend API integration.
  • Experience with AWS cloud-native services.
  • Ability to use and explain AI tooling such as Claude Code, Codex, MCPs, RAG, and related technologies.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, customer focus, and experience shipping major features collaboratively.
  • Preferred: experience with predictive algorithms, Shopify data and platform structures, SRE practices, or observability tools such as Datadog.
