Description

  • Build and ship frontend features across Vue-based widgets, Angular-based admin tools, and React-based Shopify integrations.
  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions in collaboration with product, design, and backend engineering.
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable TypeScript and uphold a high code standard.
  • Break down ambiguous, complex problems into scoped tasks, then estimate, plan, and deliver them.
  • Own features end to end, including design, build, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
  • Participate in system design discussions and help evolve frontend architecture as the platform scales.
  • Mentor other engineers, review code, and help raise the technical bar across the team.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on clean, performant APIs and data flows across the serverless AWS stack.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience building production frontend applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern component framework: Vue, Angular, or React.
  • Ability to ramp quickly across Vue, Angular, and React.
  • Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
  • Track record of shipping high-quality, tested, maintainable frontend code in a team environment.
  • Comfort working across a full serverless stack, including APIs, event-driven services, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for async work with a fully distributed, global team.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions with guidance, and know when to ask for help.
  • Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, and SQS/SNS (nice to have).
  • Experience building embeddable widgets or SDKs for third-party sites such as Shopify storefronts (nice to have).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform (nice to have).
  • Prior experience in an e-commerce, martech, or Shopify-ecosystem company (nice to have).
