Description

  • Lead a team of technicians performing mechanical assembly for barrels, domes, and thrust structure hardware.
  • Oversee precision hole drilling, fastener installation, including hiloks, and structural bonding processes.
  • Execute production schedules across all structural assemblies.
  • Establish and maintain process standards to ensure quality is consistently met.
  • Provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, identify talent gaps, and hold regular 1:1s with technicians.
  • Communicate daily and weekly progress, blockers, and proposed solutions to upper management.
  • Lead hiring initiatives to grow the team in support of Terran R production goals.
  • Foster an inclusive, transparent, and accountable team culture.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production control partners on manufacturing execution.
  • Implement process improvements to support production performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of aerospace manufacturing leadership experience at or above the supervisor level.
  • 3+ years of structural assembly experience, including precision drilling, hilok installation, and structural bonding.
  • 3+ years of rigging and crane operations experience with the ability to act as a lift director.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing engineering, quality, and production control.
  • Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of production areas within span of control.
  • Track record of helping scale work centers and production processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products and/or Smartsheet is preferred.
  • Experience executing aggressive production schedules.
  • Ability to work the second shift schedule from 3:00 PM PST to 1:30 AM PST.
