Description

  • Own the next generation of in-space compute and storage capability for the Interplanetary Program.
  • Deliver space-ready compute units for flight spacecraft and ground-based hardware twins for hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Work with the science team to balance compute, memory, and storage capability against spacecraft power, thermal, EMI, and mechanical constraints.
  • Collaborate with the software team to bring up core software infrastructure on the spacecraft and on the ground.
  • Iterate with software partners to ensure the full compute system operates as intended across environments.
  • Lead hands-on development campaigns to evaluate technologies, de-risk interfaces, and validate performance before full system integration.
  • Work across internal and external teams to turn concepts into hardware and flight-ready systems.
  • Operate in a fast-paced, iterative environment with rapid prototyping, early testing, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience designing and delivering digital, compute-centric electronic systems.
  • Proven experience leading the design and delivery of complex electrical systems, including RF and compute-heavy projects.
  • Hands-on experience working in challenging thermal and electromechanical environments.
  • Strong systems engineering, interface management, and risk management skills for complex programs.
  • Excellent technical communication, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Direct architecture or EE design experience with non-volatile storage, mobile compute, or server-class computing is preferred.
  • Experience with compute and storage survivability in space and radiation environments is preferred.
