Description

  • Own and drive software system-level design verification and validation activities.
  • Develop and execute test matrices and test plans with traceability to requirements and defined pass/fail criteria.
  • Develop manuals, documentation, and data dashboards to monitor software system health and performance during integration, test, and launch.
  • Define and improve software configuration and change management processes and related tooling.
  • Provide feedback and input to tooling development teams and help educate users and software development teams.
  • Coordinate software readiness reviews ahead of test and launch operations.
  • Support test and launch activities, including integration coordination, anomaly investigations, pre-test and pre-launch readiness evaluations, post-test and post-launch data reviews, and on-console support.
  • Bridge communication and coordination between engineering and operations for software integration and test activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software systems design/analysis, system-level test, systems engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with software development and test/verification concepts such as version control, configuration management, debugging, static analysis, and unit/integration/system testing.
  • Familiarity with Python, GitLab/Git, and CI/CD.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% to Stennis and Cape Canaveral to support software bring-up and vehicle test/launch operations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with C++ and Rust is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of launch vehicle fundamentals is preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization, especially time series data and SQL databases, is preferred.
