Description

  • Improve Firefox development workflows to reduce time spent testing and debugging failures through greater integration and automation.
  • Work with a geographically distributed development team.
  • Mentor other team members and receive mentorship from more senior colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other teams by providing code review and technical direction.
  • Analyze workflow data, build dashboards, and identify trends in Firefox development processes.
  • Support the development, build, test, and delivery of Mozilla’s core products through internal applications.

Requirements

  • Proven Python skills, including building services.
  • Front-end development experience, including JavaScript proficiency.
  • Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Experience with cloud services such as GCP or AWS and REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of databases and SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI and test harnesses.
  • Comfort working across platforms and familiarity with at least two of Windows, Linux, Mac, or Android.
  • Passion for enhancing developer productivity.
  • Commitment to Mozilla’s values, including welcoming differences, being relationship-minded, practicing responsible participation, and having grit.
  • Preferred: deep understanding of version control systems.
  • Preferred: experience with containerization and continuous delivery/deployment, particularly Docker.
  • Preferred: experience with CI for large-scale projects.
  • Preferred: comfort with data analysis.
