Description

  • Play a key role in the software development lifecycle from concept and trade studies through design, implementation, and iteration.
  • Develop applications for purchasing and manufacturing planning and scheduling.
  • Build tools for accessing and analyzing engine and component test data.
  • Create software used by engineers and operators across the company.
  • Follow agile development practices and deliver continuously integrated, continuously deployed software.
  • Work directly with users and stakeholder teams to define requirements, implement solutions, and iterate.
  • Design and deploy enterprise-wide applications, industrial automation, and data analytics infrastructure.
  • Collaborate across design, materials, manufacturing, test, and launch teams on software solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related engineering field such as Computer, Software, Electrical, or Aerospace.
  • 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and iterating on multiple apps and services.
  • Experience designing in collaboration with non-software stakeholders.
  • Expertise in front-end frameworks, especially React, and related tools.
  • Proficiency in preferred languages and tools, with willingness to learn new ones.
  • Passion for mentoring and growing engineers.
  • Experience designing and scaling service architectures that support high-performance front-end operations (preferred).
  • Experience with systems-level programming such as synchronization primitives and memory management (preferred).
  • Experience developing low-latency, safety-critical front-ends (preferred).
  • Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software across large codebases spanning platforms and tools (preferred).
  • Experience with Python, React, TypeScript, Go, Spark, Iceberg, DuckDB, Redshift, DBT, Postgres, Mongo, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm is relevant to the role.
