Description

  • Drive implementation of LP-DED additive manufacturing into production to support Aeon-R ramp-up.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize LP-DED operations, processes, and work centers for reliable at-rate production.
  • Maintain quality, cost, and safety targets while scaling production.
  • Lead projects that improve LP-DED process efficiency and throughput.
  • Define and deploy process controls, standard work, and documentation that can scale with production demand.
  • Develop deposition operation procedures, calibration procedures, and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for first-time and recurring issues.
  • Implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent issue recurrence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in additive operations, additive manufacturing, and post-processing in a production environment.
  • Powder-based additive manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience authoring work instructions and/or process procedures for complex assemblies.
  • Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel in a production environment.
  • Experience executing and driving projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Direct experience working with LP-DED technology in a manufacturing role is preferred.
  • Advanced degree in materials science, aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience manufacturing precision hardware for rocket engines or similar is preferred.
  • Experience scaling new processes from development to high-rate production is preferred.
