Description

  • Support fabrication and assembly of the Aeon-R engine on the production floor.
  • Scale manufacturing operations for engine and vehicle hardware.
  • Interpret work instructions and engineering drawings to complete tasks accurately.
  • Provide feedback to the team on needed process and hardware improvements.
  • Support precision cleaning, hydrostatic proof testing, flow testing, and engine assembly.
  • Work hands-on with hardware from day one in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technician staff across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to manufacturing system improvements focused on cost, quality, lead time, and safety.

Requirements

  • Experience working on engines, with a primary focus on engine components.
  • Familiarity with gas generator cycle engine architecture and associated nomenclature.
  • Experience with high-pressure fluid system development and testing, including hydrostatic proof, pneumatic leak check, and flow testing.
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical system integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the space industry.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and solving challenging rocket engine-related issues.
  • Willingness to learn from and collaborate with engineering and technician staff.
  • Familiarity with 5S manufacturing principles, lean manufacturing principles, or transition from development into high-volume production is preferred.
