Description

  • Own the organization's quality management system strategy, continuous improvement, and alignment to customer, regulatory, and AS9100 requirements.
  • Build, develop, and manage a team of quality systems engineers, including coaching, technical guidance, and performance development.
  • Own and oversee the document control system for controlled documents, records, and change control processes.
  • Plan, lead, execute, and report on internal and external audits to assess QMS performance and effectiveness.
  • Lead configuration management processes with engineering and operations stakeholders to protect product and process integrity across the lifecycle.
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes to ensure timely closure and systemic improvement.
  • Work directly with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to embed reliability and quality into the Terran R program.
  • Establish processes, controls, and inspections that scale with production and operations without slowing progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or a related STEM field.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality systems or quality engineering.
  • Experience in aerospace or a similarly regulated industry.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience.
  • In-depth working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 requirements and principles.
  • Experience with document control systems, configuration management, and internal/external audit programs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience reporting quality metrics and program status to senior leadership.
  • Lead auditor certification is strongly preferred.
  • Certified QMS lead auditor (AS9100) is a nice to have.
  • Experience in a high-growth, vertically integrated manufacturing environment is a nice to have.
  • Familiarity with QMS digital platforms and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a nice to have.
