Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures, including ETL pipelines, data modeling, data warehouse management, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Oversee development of a distributed data platform that supports mission-critical applications and real-time data ingestion, access, and orchestration.
  • Direct the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning models for automation, decision-making, and predictive analytics.
  • Ensure data, AI, and machine learning systems are scalable, reliable, and effective in improving company metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, data engineers, and machine learning engineers.
  • Create an environment that promotes innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define long-term data and AI strategy.
  • Align the technical roadmap for data and AI initiatives with company goals.
  • Drive smarter and more efficient operations through the use of data and AI.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or machine learning.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience overseeing large-scale systems.
  • Experience designing, building, and deploying AI models and machine learning systems in high-performance or mission-critical environments.
  • Proficiency in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.
  • Understanding of core ML concepts and mathematical underpinnings of machine learning.
  • Experience with Transformers/LLMs, LSTM models, time-series forecasting, and predictive analytics.
  • Experience building and scaling AI infrastructure and deploying machine learning models in production.
  • Experience with agentic architectures, such as MCP.
  • Experience building scalable data architectures, including ETL pipelines, data modeling, and analytics.
  • Experience with modern data tools and technologies such as Kafka, Spark, SQL, NoSQL, and data lakes.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, build technical culture, and drive organizational change.
  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps and managing cross-functional collaboration.
  • Direct experience with aerospace or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Relativity Space facilities across the United States.
